The kind of art that I like is drawing animals. Drawing animals is a challenge, has lots of detail, and I enjoy doing it. I discovered how much I enjoyed the challenge, and the detail in 6th grade. The first piece that I had drawn was of a baby tiger, and it took approximately 4 hours. Once I was finished though it was wroth the time and the pain in my hand. lol

The one kind of art that I would really like to make is more of the scenic look, because I do not know much about how to mix the colors and get the right texture. Also because I like more of the nature kind of drawings/portraits, and I would like help in perfecting it, or as least try. For my animal art one thing for sure that I would like to improve on is the different textures of fur, and the shading (ex: if the tiger is lying under a tree and then spots of sunlight are on it) to get the right look. Lastly for improving my art is to learn how to properly add color to the animals.

The kind of art that I am really excited to try is the dot drawings, because it’s very detailed and it looks like it could help me in getting the right shades in pictures. Another one that I am excited for is any kind of painting portraits, because then I can get more experience in how to paint properly.

The influences in my art work are music, and color. Music is one of the main influences because if I’m listening to a mellow kind of song I tend to pick more majestic pictures (tigers, colorful birds, ect..), and slow down on my work. Also when I listen to music I can create a picture in my head that goes with the mood of the song. For example when I am listening to “Into the Ocean” by Blue October I create a picture with water, its storming, and it would be a sad, dull kind of picture. Finally color

What I think about the Frontline Story

I think that the overall story about the Internet was very interesting, and gave me a real perspective on how people can get caught up with what people say and how you are seen. The one interview that I thought was really shocking was when the boy had committed suicide. I was surprised by it because I never really thought that a person would kill themselves, and have SOMEONE telling him to do it. When I had herd that this person was telling this boy to do it, and just talking about death I was appalled. Another story that I thought was a little interesting is the one where the girl was anorexic, but the interesting thing was that some days she would be happy with what she was doing and other days she was disgusted. Personally I think people who are intentionally forcing themselves to throw up, and not eating look gross. I think it looks gross, because when you see some models and how they look some are skin and bones and sickly looking. So I’m happy that Frontline did do this story because it really wakes some people up about how the internet can be a negative, but also very positive place to interact.

When we walked off the planets I knew that the planets were going to be far apart, but I really didn’t know that it was that far. Also when we were making the model planets I thought that all of the planets would at least be an inch. Then I found out that some of them were a millimeter or smaller. So when it was time to walk them off I thought that it would be a little closer because they were so small, but I guess not.

Saturn’s moon, Titan, may have an ocean, according to a new report. The study published in the journal Science, says radar images from the Cassini-Huygens mission reinforce predictions that a reservoir of liquid water exists beneath the thick crust of ice. If confirmed, it would mean that Titan has two of the key components for life, water and organic molecules. Currently, three other Solar System objects are suspected of having deep oceans: Ganymede, Callisto and Europa. The Cassini-Huygens mission is a cooperative project of NASA, the European Space Agency, ESA, and the Italian Space Agency, ASI.
